Official synopsis
No início da Segunda Guerra Mundial, o Comandante Ericson é designado para escoltar o comboio do HMS Compass Rose, composto por oficiais inexperientes e marinheiros recém-saídos do treinamento. Os mares invernais já tornam a vida bastante difícil, mas os homens também precisam se fortalecer para resgatar sobreviventes de ataques de submarinos alemães, embora raramente tenham a oportunidade de revidar.
