How to know how many movies I have watched
No streaming service shows an official total of movies watched. See how to get to a number and keep your count up to date from now on.

Why there is no ready-made number
Each service only keeps what was watched on it, split by profile, and mixes movies with TV episodes. Movies seen in theaters, on TV or on another service are left out.
Different movies or viewings?
Before counting, decide what goes into the number. Different movies count each title once. Viewings count every time you watched, including rewatches. Someone who saw the same movie three times has one different movie and three viewings.
Counting with the Netflix file
- Download the Viewing activity history for each profile.
- Open the file in a spreadsheet program.
- Delete the rows for TV episodes.
- To count different movies, remove repeated titles.
- Count the remaining rows.
How Cinapp counts
- Every movie marked as watched goes on your calendar, on the date you saw it.
- Your profile shows how many movies you watched in the year and how many hours of movies.
- Rewatched a movie on another day? Log it again: in the calendar, every viewing counts.
- In a list's progress, each movie counts once, even if you rewatched it.
Cinapp does not import streaming history. Log the movies you remember with the date you watched them and, from now on, every new movie.
